Pittosporum eugenioides (8L), also known as Lemonwood or Tarata, is a fast-growing New Zealand native tree (up to 12m) with glossy, lime-green leaves that emit a fresh lemon scent when crushed. Ideal for privacy screens, hedging, or as a specimen tree in Auckland gardens, it produces fragrant yellow-cream flowers in spring that attract birds and pollinators. Grow in full sun to partial shade in well-draining soil. Hardy and wind-tolerant once established.
