Snygonium (Arrowhead)

Syngonium, commonly known as the Arrowhead Plant, is a versatile and popular group of tropical vines cherished for their distinctive, arrow-shaped leaves that evolve in shape as they mature. These easy-care plants are highly adaptable, thriving in bright, indirect light while also being remarkably tolerant of lower light conditions, making them a forgiving choice for any home. Valued for their air-purifying qualities, Syngoniums help to remove common household toxins from the environment and can be displayed beautifully in hanging baskets or trained to climb. While typically grown indoors year-round in Auckland, their main growing period is through spring and autumn, which are the ideal seasons to pot them up. All parts of the Syngonium plant contain calcium oxalate crystals which can cause irritation if chewed or eaten.
