Persimmon Fuyu (PB18) is a popular deciduous fruit tree (4–6m) known for its sweet, non-astringent orange fruit that can be eaten while firm. Ideal for home orchards or as a specimen tree in Auckland gardens, it features stunning autumn foliage in shades of red and orange. Grow in full sun and sheltered positions in deep, well-draining loamy soil with regular water during fruit development. Partially self-fertile and highly productive in warm northern NZ climates.
